As Grand-Am President, Roger Edmondson is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s operation including competition, sponsorships, marketing and communications.
Edmondson brings a strong racing background to Grand-Am and has been a motorsports executive since 1984 when he formed the Championship Cup Series motorcycle series. The CCS later grew to the largest motorcycle road racing organization in the United States with more than 3,000 licensed riders. From 1986 to 1994, Edmondson also operated the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) professional road-racing program. During that tenure, he created the highly popular SuperSport and Harley-Davidson Twin Sport Classes. Edmondson also served as a member of the FIM Road Racing Commission, which governed the World Championship SuperBike and Grand Prix Series.
Edmondson was Grand-Am’s first employee and remains the only person who has held the position of president which he accepted upon his arrival in mid-1999.
