Roger VanDerSnick became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for International Speedway Corporation (“ISC”) in June 2009. In his role as Chief Operating Officer, VanDerSnick has primary responsibility for Business Operations, Corporate Marketing & Sales, Business Development, Corporate Development and Human Resources.
VanDerSnick joined the Company in March, 2006, as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for the ISC's corporate and consumer sales and marketing initiatives. VanDerSnick assumed the position of Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Operations in July 2007, in which he oversaw management of ISC’s premier motorsports facilities, MRN Radio and the Company’s marketing and sales activities.
Prior to joining ISC, VanDerSnick served as NASCAR's Vice President of Marketing. He joined NASCAR in 2000 to create and lead the brand and consumer marketing department. Under his leadership, the department was responsible for NASCAR brand management functions including: advertising, media planning, brand identity, marketing/media research and national/regional consumer marketing programs. Additionally, VanDerSnick's group managed overall sponsorship and marketing programs for the three national racing series, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Prior to joining NASCAR, VanDerSnick spent 15 years with Procter & Gamble, the last seven of which included leading the marketing and branding efforts of several packaged-goods brands.
VanDerSnick graduated with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where he was an All-Conference football player.
